Migration - How to move an online store without losing SEO and orders
Moving an online store: catalog, photos, 301 redirects, order history and a launch with no hole in sales.
What actually has to move
A store is not just a template. What matters is product cards (SKU, names, copy, photos, VAT, variants), stock, customers, order history and the URLs Google already knows.
If you move only the front and leave orders in the old admin, you will work in two systems for a month. 2sell takes catalog, OMS and WMS together — the new store starts with the same operation.
SEO: 301s, not a new site from scratch
Every old product and category URL should get a 301 to the new slug. Title, description and card copy stay; the engine changes, not the phrases the page already ranks for.
We build the redirect map from a URL export, not by eye. Same mechanism you use when you rename a category or retire dead cards.
How long it takes
Up to a few thousand SKUs, without heavy customization — usually about two weeks: export, mapping, import, 301s, a test order and payments.
A larger catalog, multiple warehouses or a custom checkout take 4–8 weeks. The old store sells as normal; cutover is a window, not a multi-week freeze.
